Airbnb CEO Considers Adding Cryptocurrency Payments

On Monday, Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky tweeted a poll asking customers' wishes for 2022. The majority chose payment in cryptocurrencies.

Today, Chesky said that the majority of users have chosen the option to pay for rent in Bitcoin or other popular digital currency. He noted that he knows of many tokens that would be good for payment purposes, hinting that Airbnb will accept more than one cryptocurrency.

The company's CEO has spoken out about cryptocurrencies more than once. During a November interview with The Verge, he said:

Yes, we are considering adding cryptocurrencies. Just like the revolution in travel, there is clearly a revolution happening in the field of cryptocurrencies.
