Many technology companies are using blockchain to develop new decentralized applications. Amazon Web Services will help them with this by launching blockchain as a service.
The company is cautious with cryptocurrency, but recognizes the huge potential of blockchain technology and will offer blockchain as a service to all its clients, following the example of companies such as IBM, HP, Microsoftand even SAP.
Although it may seem that the company is going to do the same as other providers, its intentions are much larger. It intends to stimulate the mass adoption of blockchain technology. In collaboration with ConsenSys, Amazon has developed and launched the Kaleido platform, where companies and developers can create their own blockchain applications on the Ethereum network. This is the first such solution available on the Amazon marketplace.
By making blockchain more accessible for use, Amazon will increase the number of blockchain projects, which will definitely benefit the industry.
