Open source web browser Brave Software has announced integration with the Solana project.
At the Breakpoint Conference in Lisbon, Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave, announced that the company will integrate the Solana network into the Brave browser.
B As part of the Brave partnership, the browser will begin supporting Solana decentralized applications (DApps).
Brave will offer a native Solana wallet for mobile and desktop browsers, with further integrations that will allow users to send and receive native Solana tokens, perform token swaps, and interact with NFTs. The integration is expected to begin in the first half of 2022.
Brave in a statement noted that it will continue to support Ethereum and will also seek integration with other blockchains.
Solana is considered a major competitor to Ethereum, Cardano and BNB. Last week, the coin broke into the top 4 of the cryptocurrency market.
