Blockchain startup Gifto, which offers a consumer token for family, friends, and fans, on Wednesday announced a partnership with blockchain platform operator NEM. According to the agreement, Gifto will be testing the NEM blockchain in the coming months to analyze the scalability of its services. Gifto currently operates on the Ethereum blockchain, but the company is considering alternative options.

According to the Gifto team, their token is the first to be built into an application with tens of millions of users. This makes this network of decentralized applications one of the largest in the world, with more than a million wallets currently registered on it. With Gifto, gamers, content creators and charities will be able to exchange personalized virtual gifts on sites like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Following the announcement of a partnership with NEM, the price of the Gifto token (GTO) has increased by 6.25% over the past 24 hours. Currently the coin is trading at $0.065.
