Cloud computing services company Amazon Web Services, in collaboration with blockchain project incubator Consensys, will launch a new platform, Kaleido, on which businesses can build their own blockchain applications.
«Using our templates, companies can focus on developing solutions, while we do the technical part for them. Users don't need to get a master's degree in cryptography, we will help them easily start a blockchain company,” said Steve Cerveny, one of the founders of Kaleido.
This is the first blockchain software solution available on the AWS marketplace, which will help quickly advance blockchain projects.
Company Amazon Web Services is a subsidiary of Amazon and is a secure cloud services platform that provides computing power, access to storage, databases, content delivery services and other functionality that helps scale and grow a business.
Blockchain can help Amazon in other areas of business, said Joseph Lubin, founder of the Ethereum blockchain platform, which will be used by Kaleido and AWS. For example, technology can be used to track supply chains.
Consensys, which oversees more than 50 blockchain projects, has noted a significant increase in interest in the technology.
“Three years ago, we received calls from companies that couldn’t even pronounce the word blockchain correctly and called only because the boss instructed them to call. There are now tens of thousands of companies that are using blockchain wisely.”
