According to the owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball club, Mark Cuban, the team will begin accepting payments in digital currency next season
Cuban was previously asked questions about the possibility of paying for tickets to basketball games with cryptocurrency. On his Twitter page, Cuban responded to fans - “Next season.”
He further commented on his statement and confirmed the news that the Dallas Mavericks plans to accept not only bitcoin and ethereum as payment, but possibly other digital currencies.
Mark Cuban, until recently, supported the position that bitcoin is a “bubble.” But today he has changed his mind regarding cryptocurrencies.
“I think that blockchain has become very valuable and will form the basis of most transactions in the future. Healthcare, finance and others. Everyone will use it,” Cuban tweeted.
The club owner believes that the Mavericks cryptocurrency settlement system will be able to support other tokens in addition to bitcoin and ethereum.
“We are also looking at the possibility of accepting tokens from companies with which we have traditional business relationships as a way to expand our customer base,” said Mark Cuban.
