Hollywood will make a film about John McAfee

Film veteran Michael Keaton will star in a film about the life of notorious lawyer John McAfee, the man who made millions creating anti-virus software. Keaton will replace Johnny Depp in the lead role, who, according to him, did not cope with the image of McAfee.

This isn't the first version of McAfee's "trials and tribulations" life to appear on screen. The documentary "The Dangerous Life of John McAfee" was released in 2016 and was assessed by McAfee himself as a complete fiction.

In the new film "King of the Jungle", McAfee took control of the project from the very beginning and was unhappy with the choice of Johnny Depp as the main actor. Depp was on the project for the better part of a year before a suitable replacement was found in Michael Keaton, the recent star of the hit Birdman.

When McAfee was asked why Depp was fired from the project, he replied:

Pussy couldn't handle my drugs. Keaton won't have any problems.

The 67-year-old actor was entrusted with the task of playing the role of a computer adventurer, and another Hollywood star, Seth Rogers, will get into the role of journalist Ari Furman.

The film's script is based on the article "John McAfee's Last Stand" by Joshua Davis, published in Wired magazine in 2012.

IMR International will present “King of the Jungle” to the public at the American Film Market, which opened on October 31 in Santa Monica, California, where it plans to sell the rights to the film. The release date has not yet been announced by the creators.

The events of the film are focused around the peculiar lifestyle of a genius after his escape into the jungle in Belize, a small country in Central America, in 2009. During that period of his life, McAfee left civilization and moved to the jungle, where in his villa he created a world divorced from reality, full of weapons, sex and madness. Rogen, who plays Wired magazine reporter Ari Fuhrman, arrives in the jungle for an interview with McAfee, but finds himself caught up in his escalating paranoia, an elusive reality and crime.

There has been no comment from Johnny Depp since his exit from the project, perhaps he is busy with his new partnership with TaTaTu and is working on a biography of Lamborghini and several other announced projects.
