Hollywood will release a film dedicated to Bitcoin

Director Christian Cashmere announced the first film comedy about cryptocurrency, and also told the plot of his future film. The film tells the story of two loser brothers who, by pure chance, find a wallet containing over $20 million worth of Bitcoin and try to sell it on the black market. “Bitcoin” will be produced by indie producer Lauren Cribe and will also star famous comedian Taeo Won.

The film's script was written by Brent Craft, who previously collaborated with Kashmir on Lady-Like

“We're planning to start filming in late April in New Mexico,” the director told MarketWatch, “however, due to recent events (meaning the huge rise in the price of Bitcoin), I'm considering starting work on the film earlier.”

Up to this point, there have been few films about Bitcoin. One of the most famous is “Deep Web,” a documentary film shot in 2015 by director Alex Winter with the participation of Keanu Reeves. Another example is the 2016 Netflix film “Banking on Bitcoin.”

Christian Cashmere, however, believes that no one has ever looked at Bitcoin closely enough and impartially on television.

"This film is not just an entertaining comedy, it will also help understand cryptocurrencies for those people who do not understand anything about them, which I myself was until recently. Our film explores the light and dark sides of Bitcoin and also talks about the impact it can have on the future of humanity."

Screenwriter Brent Craft said in his interview - “The actors who star in our film, producers, directors, are all interested in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now at the peak of popularity, everyone is talking about it, and our film could actually become the first popular film about this cryptocurrency. We see an opportunity and now we have a real job - to make a quality film before interest in Bitcoin disappears.”

“It will be very difficult for this film to become a commercial success, but it is not impossible,” says famous screenwriter Heywood Gould, “The drama in the film could be built around drug dealers who use cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin in particular. It could be. something of a cautionary tale about how not to get rich.”
