Scottish drunks will only be able to buy cider with Bitcoin

The Scottish government is trying to make it more difficult to buy alcohol using Bitcoin, believing that no one will master innovative technologies to buy alcohol.

It has recently been officially confirmed that in Scotland a bottle of Frosty Jack's cider will only be available to buy with Bitcoin.

A Scottish Government spokesman said: "We've never used Bitcoin, but it sounds quite complicated in theory, so it's a great way to keep drunks away from drinking. No one would download a special browser or do similar things just to get drunk. While some are capable of this, I suppose it just depends on the level "Sparkling cider aficionado Roy Hobbs shared his opinion: “My life went downhill a couple of years ago after my wife left and I lost my job. After that, I began to drink myself into oblivion often, and now, on top of all this, I still have to figure out how to use peer-to-peer transactions that are confirmed using cryptography."

“I wouldn't be surprised if. the guy who came up with all this often indulges in alcohol himself,” he added.
