Payments company Square will launch a new business line focused on Bitcoin.
Square founder and CEO Jack Dorsey spoke about creating an “open platform” that should make it easier to create decentralized financial services.
The project does not yet have a name, but its head Mike Brock is already assembling a team of specialists to build an “innovative business”
The mobile payment service has recently shown great interest in the crypto industry.
Last month Square announced plans to develop its own hardware wallet for Bitcoin.
