The largest supplier of terminals, Verifone, plans to integrate crypto-payments in partnership with the processing service BitPay.
US merchants will be able to accept cryptocurrency payments through Verifone platforms until the end of this year.
To complete a transaction, simply select a crypto wallet on the Verifone terminal and scan the QR code. At the same time, sellers will receive an instant payment message and transfers to a bank account in dollars. This payment algorithm will allow merchants to easily and securely accept cryptocurrency while protecting against its high volatility.
The new feature supports BTC, ETH, DOGE, BCH, WBTC, LTC and 5 stablecoins: GUSD, USDC, USDP, DAI and BUSD.
Verifone has 35 million point-of-sale devices in more than 150 countries, processing more than 10.4 billion online and offline transactions annually, valued at $440 billion.
