Hedgie (Hedgehogs) is the name of the game that has just launched its pre-sale version. Hobbyists can now play Hedgie, a new Ethereum-based game for crypto collectors.
Since CryptoKitties has become fashionable in the Ethereum community, and now a new crypto collection game is entering the market, which claims to be universally loved and popular. CryptoKitties is a fun project where users have to collect and care for virtual cats. This month, someone bought CryptoKittie for 600 ETH, approximately $170,000, according to the exchange rate, and is the most expensive kitty yet.
Hedgie do not have such exorbitant prices, at least today.
By playing, users can create Curio Coins, which can ultimately be spent on real products and services. Curio is an ERC-20 token that can be earned playfully and spent seriously. According to the developers, the game provides a unique opportunity to purchase Ethereum-based crypto-collectibles through a credit card.
According to the game, each Hedgie has four elemental Force abilities - Water, Fire, Earth and Air, and additional skills - Luck, Prudence, Intelligence and Charm. It is the combination of these elements that determines the uniqueness of each hedgehog, who can travel through four virtual kingdoms and improve their abilities and skills.
The release of a closed alpha version is planned for the end of this year, and a full launch next year. In the summer of 2019, Hedgie players will already be able to spend their Curio tokens in the real world, as the team plans to collaborate with various companies to promote the coin.
Hedgie Lead Manager, Stas Zlobinski, commented:
Games have been using virtual currency for decades, and gamers are known to prefer using new technologies. With the transition of the gaming industry to blockchain technologies, we needed to take the next step and expand the value of the in-game coin to the outside world.
