A monument was erected in London in honor of cryptocurrencies

"Crypto Connection" is the world's first sculpture dedicated to cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, a concept that is mysterious and too rapidly gaining popularity to ignore.

Last week, the UK unveiled the world's first public sculpture dedicated to the rapidly growing cryptocurrency ecosystem. “Crypto Connection,” commissioned by contemporary artist Federico Clapis for cryptocurrency platform Eidoo, is an imposing three-meter bronze statue that raises questions about the future of global finance.

The Italian sculptor, a big fan of the crypto industry, depicted a baby in the womb holding a smartphone. According to the sculptor, such a composition represents the future in many aspects, not only cultural, but also social, technological and economic. The child in the statue symbolizes a generation born into a world where blockchain operates for everyone, without exception.

Prominently located on London's south bank between OXO Tower and BFI, Crypto Connection is considered one of the most ambitious marketing projects in the world of crypto today. The use of classic sculpture in polished bronze along with a provocative futuristic theme fits perfectly to reflect the controversial perception of cryptocurrency itself today: a seemingly new-fangled, fast-passing trend for some, and a digital revolution that will change the world for others.

The location for the exhibition was also not chosen by chance. According to Eidoo CEO, Lars Schlichting,  London is a world-renowned cultural hub, with ambitious contemporary art that sparks conversations around contemporary trends and global themes. It was in the creative center of London that the company wanted to present its vision of the future of cryptocurrency to the world. “We want society to understand the digital revolution, and this statue is designed to represent how a new era is dawning,” Schlichting said in his speech at the unveiling of the sculpture.
