French artists will stage an exhibition in honor of the tenth anniversary of Bitcoin

Bitcoin will soon turn 10 years old. In honor of his birthday, a group of artists are going to hold a crypto art exhibition "Bitcoin Art (r)Evolution" in France.

Exhibitors were invited to explore the impact of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the relationship between artists and their audiences. In particular, the focus is on whether cryptocurrencies can free artists from the traditional art market and banking system to gain greater creative freedom.

“We came up with the idea of organizing an exhibition in Paris to show the possible uses of cryptocurrencies and bring together artists from around the world who are interested in cryptocurrencies,” artist and exhibition organizer Pascal Boyart told Hard Fork, French street artistknown under the nickname pBOY. He believes that Paris could become the capital of a new interaction between art and cryptocurrency, providing artists with new ways to attract audiences.

“The emergence of cryptocurrencies is not just a monetary revolution, it is also a cultural revolution,” says Pascal Boyart.

Boyart himself will also take part in the exhibition. Let us remind you that Boyart is the street artist who signs his murals with a QR code through which people donate bitcoin in support of his work.

The public will be able to directly purchase works for Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and Monero. The artists participating in the exhibition were also tasked with hiding Bitcoin on the canvas so that particularly attentive viewers could later find it.

In addition to Boyart, the exhibition will include Andy Bauch, Coin Artist, Nanou Berks, Saint Phalle Yom, Ilies Issiakhem, Josephine Bellini, Yosh, Mark Byrne, Choq and You. The exhibition is open and free and will run from September 28 to October 5.
