Buy the Dip. Comedy about crypto success. Trailer

Buy the Dip is a satirical film about cryptocurrency that serves as the pilot for a series of short comedies about current trends and technologies. It will be a funny (but no less cynical) version of "Black Mirror," says the film's director Sam Lucas Smith. Judging by the trailer, the comparison is not at all far-fetched; although it is shot more in the spirit of the films "Silicon Valley" and "Trainspotting."

The film is not yet available, but there is already an official trailer. The film touches on a lot of topics that will be very familiar to crypto fans, including terrible investment “advice,” drug sales on the dark web, and, of course, cool Lamborghinis. You'll also hear talk about Bitcoin, CoinMarketCap and the infamous BitConnect. You will also learn what an Irish accent sounds like.

The director doesn't yet know what direction Low Price will take in the future, but he is interested in turning the short film into a TV series (assuming he can secure financing). Smith is also considering funding the project with digital currency. This would make the film the first in history to be financed exclusively by cryptocurrencies.

Themes of cryptocurrency and blockchain gradually began to be raised in films for the general public.

The logo of the leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase appeared in the trailer for the fifth season of “Silicon Valley”. The latest season of "The Big Bang Theory" featured an entire episode dedicated to Bitcoin, although many say the film gives a misleading picture of blockchain.

However, "The Big Bang Theory" is aimed at an audience closer to the crazy world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain because it is made by cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

The film premieres next week.
