Hallelujah! Swiss church accepts donations in cryptocurrency

The current situation with churches is that they are conservative and follow traditions that have been established for centuries. While this is a valid approach in some ways, many churches are interested in embracing the innovations that blockchain technology has brought.

The church that is going to accept Bitcoin is located in Zurich and is called ICF. There are many young people among the parishioners of this church, and the church itself is a supporter of advanced technologies. ICF Church spokesman Nicolas Legler told local media: "Digital currencies and blockchain technology will change our daily lives more and more every year. Cryptocurrencies have enormous potential - be it Bitcoin or a government-controlled token. We firmly believe that digital currency will find its way into people's daily lives."

Many churches have already begun to implement technology to distribute their services - some use radio to broadcast in rural areas, others record video sermons that are available to Internet users for downloading. The church in Zurich will benefit enormously from this innovation. Their young parishioners are more attuned to new technological trends, and the fact that Switzerland is planning to launch a national token may not only do no harm, but also increase the church's profits.

“Most likely, when enough people learn about cryptocurrency, most churches will give you an electronic wallet number instead of the usual donation box,” says an ICF press secretary.

It would be logical if the Christian Church accepted donations in its own currency, the release of which we talked about previously.
