On the social network only for three hours and only through mandatory personal identification. A new plan for protecting Russian citizens from the harmful influence of the Internet.
Russia continues its crusade against the World Wide Web. Now the odious St. Petersburg deputy Andrei Anokhin is an ardent guardian of the moral character of Internet users. He prepared and submitted a new bill to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, the essence of which is to link the social networks beloved by Russians to the Gosuslugi portal to enter them through personal identification, strictly limit the time of stay to three hours a day, prohibit minors from visiting social networks and block all those who do not obey the new law.
According to Anokhin, residents of the Russian Federation need isolation from “the illegal use of social networks purposes that may have a destructive effect on the psyche.” Such measures need to be extended not only to Russian citizens, but also to everyone who is on the territory of this country.
It is interesting that Anokhin posted an explanatory note to the project on his page on the social network Facebook, inviting users to a discussion. There he received a flurry of negative comments and unflattering reviews about the bill itself and about himself, in particular.
The deputy himself is best known online as a rapper and the author of the video “Alexey Kartony,” a track about the politician Alexei Navalny.
It seems that protecting the physical and mental health of citizens of the Russian Federation and caring for their “correct” development is taking on serious proportions in the country.
Recall that on April 13, the Tagansky Court of Moscow decided to block the messenger Telegram on the territory of Russia. On April 16, 2018, Russian providers began blocking the Telegram messenger. In the fight against the hotbed of terrorism, Roskomnadzor blocked 16 million addresses, and the network addresses of Google and Amazon also came under the hot hand. As a result, Russian users have already begun to complain about problems with access to one and a half dozen major resources, for example the Odnoklassniki social network, the Viber messenger, and the Spotify streaming service. Users from different regions of Russia report problems with access to the YouTube video hosting site and the Google site.. At the same time, users note that they cannot log in not only to the search engine website, but also to Google mail and related resources. In addition, a ban is being prepared on the use of VPN services that allow you to bypass this kind of blocking.
