Can Facebook enter the digital market?

Social media has been around for a long time, however, Facebook has had the biggest success. Cryptocurrency has done something very similar for the payments industry. It has connected people from all over the world in one space where cross-border payments can be made quickly and easily.

Anthony Pompliano, the founder of Morgan Creek and a big supporter of cryptocurrency, started a discussion on Twitter to lift the spirits of the community while bears are rampaging through the market.

He recently wrote that Facebook has every chance to create the most popular product in the cryptocurrency environment. These predictions were made based on Mike Dudas's post about Facebook hiring blockchain developers. Pompliano believes Facebook has the talent, experience and skills that no other company has. Most of Facebook's projects are implemented around the world and have a gigantic scale.

The Facebook Blockchain team is now led by David Marcus, who has resigned from the Coinbase board of directors. Thus, with his significant experience in the cryptocurrency space, it will be interesting to see what problem he is going to solve for Facebook using Blockchain and cryptocurrency.

Given the different uses of cryptocurrency, its impact on economics and game theory, it will be interesting how Facebook uses its token. One good example would be rewarding group owners whose pages receive more than 20,000 likes using cryptocurrency. This will not only encourage users to create Facebook groups with relevant content and followers, but will also encourage adoption of cryptocurrencies.

A Facebook Cryptocurrency wallet with its own token could help people buy products from pop-up ads. Currently, there is a 3% fee for credit card payments, and by using cryptocurrency, users will not face such unnecessary high costs.
