The Dogecoin Foundation will launch its first space mission on the SpaceX Falcon 9 in the first quarter of 2022.
The cryptocurrency space project was first reported told in May of this year. The DOGE-1 satellite will be launched into orbit using the Falcon 9 spacecraft.
Dogecoin gained popularity in part thanks to SpaceX founder Elon Musk and his tweets. At one point, he even stated that he was collaborating with DOGE developers to improve the energy efficiency of the coin.
