Sacramento Kings Host Crypto Charity Campaign

The American basketball team Sacramento Kings will become the first professional team to mine cryptocurrency and use the funds for charity.

The Kings will use the funds to fund the “MiningForGood” charitable campaign, which plans to establish a scholarship program to support and develop black communities. The MiningForGoods Foundation will also support the development of a workforce program in Sacramento, California.

The Kings will partner with MiningStore.com, which will assist the team in installing cutting-edge mining rigs in the professional sports arena. “Imperium” model devices that will mine Ethereum will be installed at the Golden 1 Center Data Center.

“With MiningForGood, we are not only raising funds to support the development and training of our workforce, but also aiming to inspire the next generation of developers to create products that can change things for the better,” said Vivek Ranadive, owner of the Sacramento Kings.

The Sacramento Kings are the first sports team in the world to accept Bitcoin as payment for tickets, as well as club accessories symbols.

Their sports arena is also 100% powered by solar energy.
