In his tax return for 2020, Dmitry Gurin, a deputy from the Servant of the People faction, indicated that his wife owned 42 bitcoins worth about 22.5 million hryvnia. He did not provide the wallet address or any other documents confirming this information.
The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption began checking the assets of the deputy and his wife Maria Saltykova. During the check, Gurin stated that on April 21, his car was stolen, in which there was a cold wallet with bitcoins, so he cannot confirm ownership of them.
