You can now pay for rent in New York with Bitcoin, Litecoin or Ethereum

ManageGo announced the addition of the ability to pay rent in Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum to its payments app. Tenants will be able to use these cryptocurrencies to pay monthly rent.

This app is powered by the Coinbase API. The application converts any cryptocurrency used as payment into US dollars, which are instantly credited to the landlord's account.

ManageGo Vice President Ham Lowensteim noted in his interview with Technical.ly that the company has no intention of investing in cryptocurrency; all funds received in this way are immediately converted into conventional currencies.

He also told the news portal: “Cryptocurrencies are a very convenient payment method, in our case, its advantage is security and low transaction costs. We are confident that we can safely use these payment methods in our application.”

Lovensheim believes that the integration of cryptocurrencies into the ManageGo payment system will help it become more popular. As recent surveys show, every month more and more people are beginning to realize the benefits of cryptocurrencies. “We thought this would be next-level convenience,” the vice president added.

Despite the fact that there are still few companies in the world providing this type of service, earlier this year the Swiss company Vision Apartments and the Czech startup Flatio.cz also announced that they would accept cryptocurrencies. Using Bitcoin, Litecoin or Ethereum you can now rent a house in Prague, Ostrava, Brno.

Unlike its American and Czech colleagues, the Swiss company only accepts Bitcoin.
