According to the latest financial report, the businessman sold more than a billion dollars worth of shares.
A report filed with the SEC on November 11 shows that Musk sold 934,000 Tesla shares worth about $1.1 billion. The average selling price is $1,170 per share. This is the third time the businessman has sold shares of his company since Tesla went public in 2010.
On November 6, Musk posted a survey on Twitter asking whether he should sell 10% of his shares. Of the 3.5 million survey participants, 58% answered “yes.” However, the Tesla CEO sold less than 1% of his shares. He still holds 170 million shares.
On November 4, the price of TSLA set a historical record of about $1,230. After the publication of the survey, the share price sank by 16%, falling below $1,000.
At the moment, the company holds 43,200 BTC worth about $2.79 billion.
