Investment fund Tiger Global acquired shares of Coinbase

The company, which has $80 billion in assets under management, purchased about 2.6 million Coinbase shares, valued at $680 million.

The investment company, which has a nearly 20-year history, manages $80 billion in assets. Tiger Global brought in about $10.5 billion to its investors in 2020, making it one of the top-performing funds.

With the release of Q2 financial reports, many companies' indirect or direct crypto investments are being revealed.

Indirect crypto investments are favored by institutional investors due to regulated regulations. By choosing this method, companies remain within the stock market without coming into contact with cryptocurrency. This is one of the reasons why shares of the bitcoin trust GBTC are attracting so much attention. Many corporations are investing in companies engaged in blockchain research and development or in cryptocurrency exchanges.
