Alibaba will ban the sale of Bitcoin miners

Alibaba will ban the sale of Bitcoin miners

Starting October 8, sellers will no longer be able to list cryptocurrency-related products on Alibaba.

According to the official statement, the platform will remove two categories from the store - crypto-miners and accessories for them. In addition, Alibaba users will no longer be able to sell training courses, guides and strategies for trading and mining manuals.

Sellers who do not comply with the new rules will be punished by blocking stores and freezing accounts.

The company noted that these rules were introduced against the background of pressure from Chinese regulators on the crypto-sphere. This week, the Chinese firewall blocked two of the most popular crypto sites - CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.
