Holic H22 - New Bitcoin Asic miner at 22TH/s

Despite the cooling of the market after the hot 2017, when mining equipment was in great demand among the population, competition in the Bitcoin ASIC miners market continues to grow. Recently, Japanese GMO has made a serious bid with miner B3 and Canaan, and now a new player, the Greek mining company Holic Technologies, is trying to displace the Chinese companies dominating the market.

New competing companies are relying primarily on new generation chips. Mining hardware giants like Bitmain are giving way to newcomers. Today, there are already three models on the market that are noticeably superior to Antminer S9j from Bitmain with their previous generation chips. It is not yet clear whether the delay in the release of the new model is due to development difficulties or is it an advertising break before the release of something grandiose. In any case, another young competitor has released a miner on 10 nm and 8 nm chips.

Holic Technologies itself has large mining farms in Europe and develops ASIC miners for its own use. Now the company has decided to put up two models of its own design for pre-order by everyone.

Holic H22 Bitcoin ASIc, with a stated hashrate of 22 TH/s, with 1600 W of power consumption and new generation chips based on 10 nm technology from Samsung. The announced Holic H28 Bitcoin ASI is a representative of more advanced 8 nm technology, and has a hashing power of 28 TH/s with a consumption of 1700 W.

In terms of its technical characteristics, the Greek equipment even surpassed its Chinese counterparts. So the Holic H28 is comparable to the AvalonMiner A9, and the chips used in the Holic H22 are better than those in the T2 Turbo from Innosilicon.

The Holic H22 is already up for pre-order through the Crypto Universe website. For pre-order, Holic H22 will cost approximately 1,720 euros complete with power supply.

Of course, the fact that the first delivery of Holic H22 ASIC is planned for the last month of the year has its drawbacks and some risk. Perhaps equipment similar or even superior to the H22 will be on the market by the end of the year and at a better price. The announced Holic H28 is just getting ready for launch and is not yet available to customers.
