In protest, the artist blew up a Lamborghini and turned the parts into NFTs

The concept artist, known under the pseudonym SHL0MS, staged a performance with the explosion of an expensive Lamborghini as a protest against the greed of crypto investors.

An artist known as “Shl0ms” blew up a $250,000 Lamborghini and turned the burnt-out car into 999 NFTs. In the artist's own words, it's a protest against "greed in the crypto world."

Shl0ms says he chose this car from the Italian brand because "it's a strong representation of people getting into crypto to get rich at the expense of other people." Lamborghini-branded cars have become something of a meme among crypto enthusiasts as a symbol of the benefits possible by investing in digital assets.

Blockchain technology is very promising, it can create a lot of useful and good things, but so far only terrible things have been done. It is used for enrichment, in which only one wins.

Back in September 2021, Shl0ms announced on social networks his plans to “physically share” the supercar. 

On February 2, a used Lamborghini Huracan was blown up in the middle of the desert, where a team with professional pyrotechnicians spent two weeks. During this time, the team experimented with the force of the explosion on other cars. Machine shard tokens will be released on February 25th. 888 of them will be put up for sale and 111 will remain for the project team. The initial bid will be 0.01 ETH.

It is ironic that an artist who opposes enrichment in crypto will himself sell his creations for ether.
