NFT auction from the Hermitage started on the Binance marketplace

Yesterday the sale of NFTs from the Hermitage State Museum of Fine and Decorative Arts started.

The museum's first tokenized collection includes five copies of world-famous works.

In total, two tokenized copies of famous masterpieces were created. One is for sale, the second is for the museum collection. The authenticity of all works is certified personally by the signature of the director of the Hermitage. Buyers of lots will be presented with a commemorative video in NFT format about the authentication of the digital copy they purchased in the Hermitage hall with the date and exact time. The starting price of each lot is set at $10,000 in the BUSD stablecoin.

Funds collected from the first sale will be used for the development of the museum. The director of the Hermitage emphasized that the new project is designed primarily to introduce world-class masterpieces. And the innovative NFT format allows the owners of copies to feel involved in art. The museum plans to continue experimenting with digital technologies and hold an exhibition of non-fungible tokens before the end of the year.
