Ripple creates $250 million NFT fund

Ripple Labs has announced a new initiative aimed at developing NFTs on the XRP blockchain.

Artists, artists, musicians and agencies can apply for funding to research the use of the Ripple blockchain for issuing NFTs. In addition to money, they can receive creative and technical support from the company.

Ripple CTO David Schwartz said that XRPL is ideal for NFTs due to cheap transactions and fast speed. According to him, the cost of commissions on the Ethereum network only discourages users.

Ethereum remains the leader in the NFT sector, but sales of NFTs on the Solana blockchain are growing at a faster pace. Cardano is also trying to enter the non-fungible token market.
