The most expensive NFTs of the past November

NFT (non-fungible tokens) is a fairly new trend in art, but it has already firmly settled in the hearts of true connoisseurs.

It’s not always clear why people give so much money, but that’s what creativity is for, so as not to think about the questions “How?”, “Why?” and “For what?” In this article, we will look at the most expensive NFTs over the past month.

10. DECAY - 1.45 million

DECAY (decomposition) - Super rare GIF, sold at the end of November for 345.69 ETH (~$1.45 million). It depicts two characters who are bleeding something neon bright.

We really hope that the person who bought this gif has strong nerves and such blinking is not dangerous for him.

9. CryptoPunk #9137 - $ 1.24 million

In a situation with cryptopunks, it is always necessary to refer to the table of types and attributes in order to know how rare an instance is in front of us.

Looking at this a bearded man in a sweatshirt and glasses, we understand that this is not a very rare NFT. Firstly, male is the most common gender among cryptopunks. Secondly, these three types of accessories are most often found at the same time. However, last month they paid $1.24 million for it.

8. CryptoPunk #4613 - 1.18 million CryptoPunk #4613 is a slightly more original character than the last one. Fewer attributes - more unusualness. 

 The picture shows a fashionable guy with a hairstyle ala “Clark Kent undercover” and glasses that cover the gaze of cunning eyes. Minimalism is in fashion now. Or not anymore. Doesn't matter.

7. Bored Ape Yacht Club #9449 - 1.17 million

Let's take a break from the punk collection and move on to the monkey collection. The name Bored Ape Yacht Club is a reference to people who became rich by aping in. This is what the cryptosphere refers to as large investments in untested and risky assets. And the image of the yacht club is just satire. 

Here we have a certain simian Cyclops from the X-Men in a classic black T-shirt. Well, or Superman, whichever suits you. 

6. Fidenza #718 - $ 1.12 million

 The main direction of this artist is to create paintings from blocks of different shapes and colors.. As we can see, he was very successful in this, since he is in our top. 

Does this show a city with colorful houses, is it trains or a collection of metro lines from all over the world? Everyone in this picture will see exactly what resonates in their heart. 

5. Some Other Asshole - 2.28 million

“Some Other Asshole” is a looping GIF codenamed “Hell for an Epileptic.” The frame rate after a couple of minutes of viewing makes the eye twitch even in a healthy person. 

In the picture we see a portrait of a man. Is he dead or alive, who knows? The crosses on the eyes hint that the boy’s time has long passed, but the third eye on his forehead is still watching what is happening around him. In any case, we know for sure that he was not the best person.

4. Fashion Street Estate - 2.42 million

In fourth place we have virtual land. Yes, a few years ago investing in virtual real estate was something extra, but now this is gaining popularity, and people are ready to buy pieces of land in metaverses for huge amounts of money. 

This, of course, is not a house in Iceland, but it is also a very profitable thing. You can rent out land in the metaverses and get your own money, or organize exclusive parties and get something from them too. For example, Snoop Dogg once organized such a party on The Sandbox platform to reconstruct his real mansion.

3. Ross Ulbricht Genesis Collection - 6.28 million

Ross Ulbricht is the owner of the anonymous trading platform Silk Road. In 2015, he was found guilty of operating a darknet market, as well as other crimes, and sentenced to two life sentences plus 40 years. 

The Genesis Collection was assembled by the “Free Ross Ulbricht” group and consists of 10 of his drawings. Proceeds from the sale of NFTs will go towards efforts to free Ross and support other prisoners.  

The painting was made using traditional painting techniques. It is extremely rare to find such lots at auctions, and this is why Ulbricht’s paintings receive the “Super Rare” registration.

2. Right-click and Save As guy - $ 7.09 million

And again we have a GIF, this time created in 2018 by the anonymous artist XCOPY.. A portrait of a man who is very enthusiastically telling something and looking slyly through rose-colored glasses.  

It is worth noting how well the picture is composed compositionally. Cool background colors and sweatshirts do not distract us from the center of attention, which is the person's face. Pink here plays the role of an accent and sets off a “healthy” complexion. 

1.CryptoPunk #4156 - $ 10.35 million

CryptoPunk #4156 is the second most expensive painting in the collection. But if we take into account that the most expensive one was sold using a term loan (the buyer and seller were the same), then Punk #4156 comes out to its rightful first place. 

Punk monkey in a minimalistic bandana and with a thoughtful look. This accessory is not the rarest, but the character is the second rarest, right after the aliens.
