Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin believes that a period of “crypto winter” is coming, but he is positive that a prolonged decline could benefit the industry.
Buterin told Bloomberg, which looks at the market decline with a positive view.
According to him, the fall in prices could displace the surplus of speculators in the crypto space:
People who are deeply interested in cryptocurrencies, and especially in the productive segment, welcome the bear market because prolonged advances make investors happy, but attract a lot of speculators.
Buterin believes that the decline of the market will trigger the decline of everyone unreliable and short-term crypto projects that will go away. Only the stable will survive.
