CEO BitMEX: by the end of 2022 at least 5 countries will legalize Bitcoin

According to him, countries with developing economies will soon follow the example of El Salvador and legalize Bitcoin as a means of payment.

In his blog, Alexander Hoeptner supported El Salvador's decision and predicted that the poor will lead the way in Bitcoin adoption. He wrote:

I think that by the end of next year at least five countries will have legalized Bitcoin as a means of payment. They will all be emerging economies.

Additionally:

However, if politicians play a large role in the adoption of Bitcoin, their failure could seriously harm cryptocurrencies as a whole.

In his opinion, the adoption of Bitcoin by these countries will be driven by three main factors - the need for fast and cheap international transfers, high inflation and political problems.

We would like to remind you that the Brazilian government is preparing a bill that will allow the use of Bitcoin to pay for goods and services.
