Elon Musk criticized metaverses

The founder of Tesla and Neuralink doesn't see a future for metaverses that use VR headsets for connectivity.

During interview on the YouTube channel The Babylon Bee, the billionaire said:

These metaverses are not for me, although many are now talking about them. Of course, you can put a TV on your nose, but does that mean that you are now in the metaverse? I can’t imagine that someone would put a huge screen on their face and walk around like that all day.

According to him, it is likely that in the future people will enter virtual reality not with the help of helmets, but with the help of Neuralink.

In the long term, modern Neuralink will be able to completely immerse a person in virtual reality. But I think we are still a long way from disappearing into the metaverse. It sounds kind of weird.

He added:

I may be getting too old and rejecting everything new, but at this point I don't see a convincing argument that the marketing metaverse is better than reality. I don’t understand this.
