Elon Musk criticized NFT integration on Twitter

Elon Musk criticized the Twitter platform for devoting technical resources to NFT integration but not to combating spam on the platform. Musk accompanied his criticism with screenshots of tweets with fake distributions.

Users of the new premium Twitter service can now link their account to a crypto wallet and install an NFT on their profile avatar.

Musk was outraged by Twitter's NFT initiative, as developers, in his opinion, should focus their efforts on more pressing issues. For example, to fight against scammers who copy the accounts of famous personalities to advertise fake cryptocurrency giveaways. In 2020, one of these scammers stole $2 million from unsuspecting victims on behalf of Musk.

This annoys me. While crypto scammers and spambots flood the web, Twitter is wasting technical resources on this nonsense!

More than $1 million was recently stolen by scammers posing as MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor dollars in bitcoins for one person.

These circuits are not limited to the tweeter. Scammers use the same methods on various platforms, including YouTube.
