The chief financial officer of soft drink company PepsiCo said the company will not add Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to its balance sheet due to their volatility.
In a recent interview on CNBC, PepsiCo's CFO and VP said the company has no plans to buy Bitcoin. In his opinion, BTC is still too speculative and volatile. In addition, he is alarmed by the biased attitude of regulators towards crypto-assets.
However, Johnston admits that everything may change with the development of the cryptocurrency market, and perhaps PepsiCo will be able to use BTC as money.

Unlike Pepsico, many public companies have already supplemented their cash reserves with the first cryptocurrency. MicroStrategy now owns a total of about $5.1 billion after its latest BTC purchase worth $242.9 million in September.
