Woz, a tech genius, has already said that he is amazed by the technology behind Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Now he is ready to share his achievements in working on a new blockchain startup.
Steve Wozniak announced the upcoming launch of the startup at the ChainXchange blockchain conference, at which he also spoke about his first acquaintance and impression of bitcoin: “Bitcoin attracted my attention because the technology behind it offered more opportunities than any other technology known to me. Bitcoin is based on pure mathematics, in addition, no one knows who invented it, no one has centralized control over it, and no one can create more bitcoins than originally intended.
Steve decided to use not only the opportunities offered by cryptocurrency, but also the capabilities of the technology itself, so he took part in the development of a blockchain startup called Equi.
“Our idea is not a new currency or something like that, the price of which can be influenced by various events, our product is a share in the capital of a company that is investing in a construction business in Dubai.”
The startup will be launched in Malta, around the same time as the next blockchain conference being held there.
