Kevin Jenkins, former managing director of Visa, has joined crypto company Nuggets as a board member. British company Nuggets has already achieved significant success in the field of payments and digital storage around the world, including in China. Jenkins' years of experience will further contribute to this success.
Alastair Johnson, Founder and CEO of Nuggets, said: “Kevin has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and has an excellent reputation for partnering with financial institutions, technology companies, retailers and e-commerce providers. It will help us quickly build the relationships needed to deploy the product. We are thrilled that Kevin will help us make the payment and identity experience even better after his many years at Visa.”
With extensive experience working with both Visa and Mastercard, Jenkins is adept at driving digital innovation within a regulated environment, driving change in governance and improving the payment experience for customers. He was responsible for the implementation of Visa's contactless payment system. Additionally, as a result of its successful collaboration with TFL, Visa has generated over a billion contactless payments and over 40% of all ATM payments on London's transport system.
The current model for storing personal data is ineffective. I am confident that all stakeholders in the payments ecosystem, from customers to retailers, will use Nuggets,” says Kevin Jenkins
