John McAfee runs for US President because of cryptocurrency

John McAfee is set to become the first United States citizen to promote the adoption of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies as president of the country.

His Twitter post reads:

Let's face it. No sane person would ever believe that I could become president. My goals are different, I want to gain access to the national stage within 18 months to promote blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, which can give us economic freedom.

John McAfee is a programmer and businessman, and the founder of the software company McAfee Associates. McAfee is also a prominent cryptocurrency enthusiast, investor, and blockchain developer. Despite the fall in cryptocurrency prices, McAfee remains positive about Bitcoin and some other cryptocurrencies.

In addition, he also attracts the attention of the crypto community with his loud statements and participation in the problems of the cryptocurrency sector. Not long ago, John McAfee announced that his BitFi wallet was unhackable and offered a reward to anyone who could hack it. However, over time, he had to retract his statements.

John McAfee's interest in the presidency attracted the attention of the crypto community and provoked heated discussions on this topic. Many support him, saying that nothing is impossible, others condemn him. One Twitter user wrote that Americans just want a president who loves America and wants everyone to be able to do what they want. Another user wrote that two years ago he could have argued with such an intention, however? the current president is proof that anything is possible.

Meanwhile, although US authorities have shown interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, industry adoption has been slower than in, for example, Europe and Asia. Widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies in the United States will help the industry continue to thrive around the world.
