British police seized $435 million worth of cryptocurrencies

Over the past five years, UK police forces have seized approximately $435 million in cryptocurrencies from criminals.

The London police have the highest clearance rate. During this period, she managed to track and seize $398 million worth of cryptocurrency. Manchester police seized $34 million worth of crypto assets.

Bitcoin accounted for 99.9% of the digital assets seized. One percent came from Ethereum, Dash, Monero, and Zcash.

According to Chainalysis, scammers around the world earned almost $8 billion in 2021 from crypto asset scams.
