The government of El Salvador plans to use Bitcoin Trust's first profits to build a modern veterinary clinic.
El Salvador received $4 million in profit from the Bitcoin Trust, which purchased 400 BTC in August. Due to the rise in prices of the first cryptocurrency by more than 30% in the last week, the government trust has received income and plans to invest it in projects without selling the bitcoin reserve.
The first such project will be a modern veterinary clinic in the capital, said President Nayib Bukele.
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin believes El Salvador’s experiment with Bitcoin is reckless. Vitalik is confident that forcing businesses to accept BTC is contrary to the spirit of the crypto space. He believes that many Salvadorans may become victims of hackers because they do not have the necessary basic education in the field of cryptography.
