Fake Monero cryptocurrency wallets have appeared online

According to Reddit users, sites have appeared on the Internet that appropriate user wallets. Monero (XMR) is struggling to overcome challenges and make a place for itself in the world of cryptocurrency, and then scammers trick many users into mining cryptocurrency into the same wallet, from which the attacker receives funds

According to one Reddit user, the same wallet is given to regular users and people who pay into a third-party account instead of the supposed personal account.

“Be aware that monero-xmr.com monero-xmr.info is an outright scam. You can register a wallet there. You need to provide your email address and password. An obvious phishing attempt. The created wallet is always the same: 45BX3JUfX9KJTRYZMArAA4DiVaehfkJgAgqfM93WVKHM6T7J2PPnoQvjXqrT3anyZ22j7DEE74GkbVcQFyH2nNiC3gT9GhA. Several people are mining into this wallet on supportxmr.com and possibly other sites."

Another Reddit user says: "I signed up with an email address [email protected] and password password. Of course, my address was: 45BX3JUfX9KJTRYZMArAA4DiVaehfkJgAgqfM93WVKHM6T7J2PPnoQvjXqrT3anyZ22j7DEE74GkbVcQFyH2nNiC3gT9GhA. Several people mine with this wallet. This is unrealistic. These people know what mining is, but they don't understand what wallet security is!" 45BX3JUfX9KJTRYZMArAA4DiVaehfkJgAgqfM93WVKHM6T7J2PPnoQvjXqrT3anyZ22j7DEE74GkbVcQFyH2nNiC3gT9GhA. This site needs to be removed.”

According to Whois.com, the owner of the scam site is Richie Gonzalo, who is believed to be based in the Philippines, and he has listed the phone number +63.917825855 and the email address [email protected] as his contact information.

Monero is not doing very well today, especially compared to how things were a few days ago. The price of the cryptocurrency began to fall on May 3, after last week it rose to $250.
