Student hackers received two years in prison with a probationary period of one year for distributing virus software. The verdict of the Kharkov court comes into force upon the expiration of the period for appeal.
In the spring, Ukrainian cyber police arrested two students who were selling virus software to steal cryptocurrencies from other people's user accounts.
Young talents purchased software on a hacker forum. After some minor modifications, they were able to not only try out the fraudulent program themselves, but also resell the malware. The students were detained by law enforcement officers after selling a virus program to residents of Kharkov. During the trial, the hackers fully admitted their guilt.

Just a week ago, the cyber police managed to arrest the hacker who created the DarkComet virus. His modified virus was used to remotely access computers in fifty countries. The police managed to find a center for managing and modifying malicious software on the computer equipment of a resident of the Lviv region.
Recently, the capital's prosecutor's office and the National Police of Ukraine detained brothers suspected of kidnapping a miner and stealing $50,000 from him in the spring of this year.
