Africrypt founders deny fraud allegations

Africrypt founders deny fraud allegations

The two brothers behind the Africrypt platform have declared their innocence in the theft of 69,000 BTC.

The theft of 69,000 BTC from the Africrypt investment platform is already being called one of the largest incidents in the cryptocurrency space. After a long silence, the founders of Africrypt, the Kage brothers, categorically denied their participation in the scam and said that the platform was hacked by hackers.

Their lawyer said his clients did not contact the police because of the threats their families received, but reported the hack to investors. The founders are ready to cooperate with the investigation.

The investigation showed that Bitcoin was sent through mixers and pools, which makes it difficult to find funds. At the moment, law enforcement officials have not been able to trace the exact path of the cryptocurrency withdrawn from the platform.

At the moment, the investigation does not have facts either for or against the Keiji brothers’ claim that they were victims of hacking.
