Coinbase opens office in Dublin

The American exchange Coinbase is going to conquer the European market, given the high demand of European clients for crypto platform services, and is opening a representative office in Dublin. (Ireland)

The exchange recently stated that the European Union is the fastest growing segment of its users, so it has decided to expand its expansion in Europe.

The exchange considered various European cities for its new office, but settled on Dublin given the number of specialists in the region and the general desire for technology development.

«Dublin is the best place to find specialists that Coinbase could choose in order to scale and internationalize its operations. We look forward to working together and are excited about the contribution that Coinbase can make to the Irish economy and our talented young tech and finance professionals to the exchange,” said Martin Shanaan, CEO of IDA Ireland, the country's investment agency.

Recall that a few weeks ago Coinbase announced that it plans to hire more than 100 employees for its new office in New York, opened with the aim of attracting institutional investorsfrom Wall Street. Prior to this, the platform opened its representative office in Chicago.

Now, by opening an office in Dublin, the exchange will be able to further expand its customer base and complement its current operations in London.
