Crypto exchange Huobi will begin operating in the US in May

Huobi management announced that it is going to open an office in San Francisco and aims to expand its activities in the United States at the beginning of this year.

The US government registered the American branch of Huobi as a company that provides financial services, and HBUS Inc was registered with FinCEN on March 21. Today, this crypto platform already has operating branches in Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Huobi Group CEO Leon Lee told the press that the company will begin operating in America at the end of spring. Robin Zhu, chief operating officer of Huobi, noted: “Huobi's expansion is undoubtedly a big step forward, which is good news.” However, Leon Li believes that this fact does not mean that issues related to currency regulation in the United States will be resolved on their own. The CEO of Huobi Group hopes that the SEC will still be able to solve the problem regarding the regulation of cryptocurrency exchanges.

He added that Huobi will follow all the instructions of the commission. The company does not seem to be at all afraid of the pressure of the American regulator on crypto exchanges, which has increased significantly in recent months.

We would like to remind you that after Chinese regulators banned cryptocurrency exchange activities, the Huobi exchange left the Chinese market and sold its HT tokens in order to compensate for losses incurred and use the funds received to expand the American market.
