Memo.cash, an application recently introduced by the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) team, continues to gain popularity among BCH fans.
Just a few months after its launch, Memo.cash is becoming a popular messaging tool, even competing with Blockpress. Thanks to the constant addition of new functions, the platform is gradually turning into a full-fledged social network.
Immediately after the launch of Memo, the maximum set of message characters could not exceed 77. After the May update of the BCH network, users were able to leave posts of 217 characters in length, which significantly expanded the functionality of the platform and created a more vibrant community.
Several extensions were also introduced into the future social network. For example, the Memo Enhancement Suite (MES) protocol was recently launched, which allows users to personalize the Memo application. The open-source extension gives platform members the ability to update designs and backgrounds, automatically increase the size of images, including those with a GIF extension, and like posts. MES can remember the content users like, as well as their profile passwords.
Information from the MES GitHub repository: "Your passwords are stored in plain text in your browser's local storage. This is secure, but not if your computer is hacked."
Another new extension available is Big Earth. This extension offers helper methods for reading and writing on the BCH blockchain using the Memo and Blockpress protocols. In addition, extensions such as Twitter_Bot_Opreturn, read.cash and Chainfeed have been added.
