Yesterday, the price of Bitcoin fell by 15%, dragging the entire cryptocurrency market with it. During the day, exchanges liquidated a record number of positions, even surpassing the collapse of March 2020.
According to Bybt, exchanges liquidated more than $1.3 billion of BTC longs and more than $900 million of ETH longs on Tuesday. On XRP, SOL and DOGE, traders lost approximately $80 million each.
More than 380 thousand traders lost money on this strait. Most lost their deposits completely. The total daily volume of liquidated positions was more than $3.7 billion.
