Dogebonk became the first meme coin in space

While Elon Musk is still dreaming about the Doge-1 mission, the Dogebonk coin project has already successfully launched into the stratosphere. Their space project was partially paid for by the DOBO cryptocurrency.

The Dogebonk community launched their memecoin to the edge of space using a stratospheric weather balloon, where it hovered for several hours. The accompanying banner was also launched into space, which was recorded by the on-board camera.

Developer Dogebonk tweeted: “Sorry Elon, but we have surpassed Dogecoin as the first meme in space.” Since then, the hashtag #SorryElon has been trending on Twitter.

Earlier, Elon Musk said that the launch of the DOGE-1 satellite into space will take place in 2022.
