eToro conducted an analysis of the Litecoin market and concluded that the cryptocurrency is now being sold at a price much lower than the market price.
“According to the indicators we have analyzed, the current price of LTC is much lower than it could be,” experts say.
eToro argues that Litecoin, despite being in the same market as Bitcoin, does not compete with it and is positioned as a different type of asset since it is lightweight, similar in function, but very versatile due to its fast and cheap transactions, which ensures its adoption on wider market.
“Meanwhile, the functions of both cryptocurrencies are to store value, like precious metals. The price relationship between these cryptocurrencies is very similar to the price relationship between gold and silver, however, Litecoin may offer some diversification for investors, as well as more room for growth with a much more affordable coin than Bitcoin, says eToro's analysis.
When As silver became more affordable due to new mining technologies and the discovery of new sources, it quickly fell in price and became less like gold in terms of asset value.
eToro's findings do not mean that you should immediately invest everything you have in Litecoin. The company, on the contrary, advised investors not to invest more than 20% of their funds in cryptocurrency overall.
However, despite the fact that Litecoin fell in price more than other types of cryptocurrencies at the beginning of the year, we understand why eToro suggests not to miss the opportunity to buy a digital coin at a reduced price.
