Juventus today announced a multi-year global strategic partnership with the Soccer.com platform and plans to launch an official Juventus token for its global community.
Juventus, one of the largest and most successful football clubs in the world, has over 340 million followers and an international digital fan base with over 60 million fans across social media platforms. The launch of the official Juventus token will expand the club's global strategy to engage fans in an emotional connection through finding a voice. The commodity token will allow Juventus fans around the world to participate in a mobile voting platform.
Juventus fans will be given the opportunity to purchase tokens through an innovative program called Fan Token Offering (FTO), and Socios.com aims to release club tokens as early as the first quarter of 2019.
The official Juventus token will be available exclusively through Socios.com and can be traded through the platform's native token - CHZ.
Socios.com helps football clubs with digital assets based on blockchain technology. The platform works with the chiliZ (CHZ) token, an ERC20 utility token on the Ethereum Blockchain. Fan Tokens are specific to a team or club and represent the ultimate digital asset that provides voting rights and membership rights to the club.
The platform itself sets quite ambitious goals, such as welcoming more than 50 football clubs on board. The platform plans to invest another $300 million in the sports industry over the next few years. Socios.com plans to build the world's largest football community and the largest market of football fans by demonstrating that blockchain and cryptocurrency are reliable technologies. Earlier this year, the Socios.com team received over $66 million, including investments from some of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges (Binance) and leading crypto funds from Asia.
